Terms of Service
Agreement to terms
By using ReactCity ("the site," "the service," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What ReactCity is
ReactCity is a free, browser-based tool that lets you record reaction videos by combining a video source (a file you upload, a direct video link, or a YouTube video) with your webcam, played and recorded entirely within your own browser. We don't host, store, or have access to your source videos or your recordings — everything happens on your device.
Your responsibility for content
- ReactCity does not grant you any license or right to use anyone else's copyrighted content.
- We do not review, endorse, or take responsibility for the legality of any source video you load into the tool.
- Whether a specific reaction video qualifies as fair use (or an equivalent exception in your jurisdiction) depends on the specific facts of how you use it — the amount used, your commentary/transformation, and other factors. That determination is yours to make, and we recommend understanding these principles before publishing content that includes someone else's copyrighted work.
- You agree not to use ReactCity to infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use ReactCity to:
- Violate any law or the rights of any third party
- Upload, react to, or distribute content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, or sexually exploitative, especially involving minors
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone
Your camera, microphone, and recordings
Camera and microphone access is entirely optional and controlled by permissions your browser asks you for directly. Your webcam feed and any recordings you make stay on your device — we don't receive, store, or have access to them. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
No warranty
ReactCity is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every browser or device — in particular, some features (like the screen-recording function) depend on capabilities your specific browser may or may not support.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReactCity and its owner(s) are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including but not limited to claims arising from copyright or other intellectual property disputes related to content you chose to react to or publish.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ReactCity and its owner(s) from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your content choices, or your violation of these terms.
Third-party services
ReactCity may display advertising (such as Google AdSense) and may embed YouTube's player when you use that feature. Your use of those third-party services is subject to their own terms — including YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Terms of Service — which we don't control.
Changes to the service or these terms
We may update these terms as ReactCity's features change (for example, if we add accounts, payments, or premium features). Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of California USA .
